Digital Resilience Forum

As the global digital landscape grows more complex and contested, MIGS is co-organizing the first annual Digital Resilience Forum on 21 May in Ottawa — bringing together technical and policy experts to both showcase Canadian cutting edge cybersecurity technologies, and to discuss policy solutions maximizing opportunities for Canada’s leadership in this rapidly evolving field.

With cyber threats increasingly a tool of state warfare and criminal activity, and as democratic discourse and open communications face increasing restrictions worldwide, we face unprecedented challenges in both protection and countering state censorship.

With traditional global leaders stepping back from both security and democratic resilience projects, Canada stands at a pivotal moment. Our international credibility, world-leading technologies, strong digital rights ecosystem, and G7 presidency in 2025, positions Canada for an international leadership role in both digital freedom and resilience.

Hosted by the Montreal Institute for Global Security and eQualitie.org, this event will bring together senior officials, civil society leaders, and technology partners for a half-day of strategic engagement focused on advancing Canada’s role in global digital security, rights and governance.

Featuring a Canadian technology showcase of the latest digital security platforms, censorship resistance technologies and capacity building programs, this event will raise awareness and foster new networks.
