Canada Launch of Global Terrorism Index

MIGS, in collaboration with the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) and the Human Rights Research & Education Centre at the University of Ottawa, hosted the Canada launch of the Global Terrorism Index. The report offers a detailed analysis of terrorism’s impact across 163 countries, covering 99.7% of the world’s population. Speakers included, John Packer (Director, HRREC, University of Ottawa, and Neuberger-Jesin Professor of International Conflict Resolution), Michael Collins (Executive Director – Americas, Institute for Economics and Peace), Alexann Thiffault (graduate student in Security and Defence Policy, Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University), Kyle Matthews (Executive Director, Montreal Institute for Global Security) and Phil Gurski (President, Borealis Threat and Risk Consulting)
