Confronting the New Power Grab: Civic Tech, AI, and Foreign Influence

The Montreal Institute of Global Security (MIGS) will host a special conversation with Carl Miller, Chief Strategist at DISARM and founder and co-founder of the Centre for the Analysis of Social Media (CASM).

Carl Miller will share insights from his work with the DISARM Foundation and introduce Waves—a €1 million project in local democracy that uses technology to engage communities in shaping local policy and strengthening trust in government. This session will bring together experts from government, civil society, academia, and industry to learn from Waves and discuss future collaborations.
