Alex Bagdade

Alex Bagdade is an undergraduate student at McGill University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, History, and International Development. His academic interests center on international security, political violence, and human rights, with a particular focus on genocide studies, democratic resilience, and the policy challenges posed by contemporary global threats. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Contemporary Review of Genocide and Political Violence at McGill.

At the Montreal Institute for Global Security, Alex supports research, writing, and strategic initiatives related to international security and democratic resilience. His work includes contributing to projects on transnational repression, refining reports and written materials, and assisting with the planning and coordination of the Montreal International Security Summit through stakeholder outreach, event planning, and external communications. Through this experience, he is developing practical skills in policy research, think tank operations, and international engagement.
