Dr. Nad’a Kovalčíková

Dr. Nad’a Kovalčíková is a Senior Fellow MIGS. She is an experienced European security expert, newly appointed as the Vice President of the Women in International Security (WIIS) Brussels. Most recently, she was Senior Analyst in charge of the Transnational Security portfolio at the EU Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) and Director of the multi-million, EU-funded initiative “Countering Foreign Interference” (CFI). A project to strengthen EU CSDP capacities against foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI)”. As a Steering Group member of an inter-institutional EU process promoting foresight and anticipatory governance, she also engaged on geopolitical dynamics within the European Strategy and Policy Analysis System (ESPAS).

Dr. Kovalčíková´s former roles in the transatlantic space include working at NATO and at the Alliance for Securing Democracy in the German Marshall Fund of the United States. She also worked at the European Parliament, the French and Canadian embassies, and several NGO and think tank projects. One of her most known publications is a Chaillot book on Hacking Minds and Machines: foreign interference in the digital era. She obtained her PhD degree focused on security threats of globalisation in the beginning of the 21st century.
